Looking for an easy, feel-good reason to get outside this summer? Shawnee County Parks + Recreation has you covered with Garden Grooves, a free weekly concert series happening every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through July 28 at Ted Ensley Gardens on Lake Shawnee.

Community partners and advocates gathered together during the 2025 LiveWell Shawnee County Annual Action Summit. Each year our coalition hosts this event to celebrate the hard work that took place over the last twelve months and discuss future initiatives taking place all across our community.

For the first time in many years, six of the area's larger-capacity pantries gathered to discuss assets and gaps across the food security landscape of Shawnee County. Pantries county-wide work tirelessly to feed those needing food assistance.
