Families Connected to Resources at Community Baby Shower

Families in our area were welcomed to the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library for an event focused all about birth, babies, and safe sleep. The Community Baby Shower brings maternal and infant resource providers together in the same room so new and expecting parents can explore and connect with critical programs that support healthy pregnancies, birth outcomes, and safe sleep.

Some participants were able to leave the event with essential baby items like blankets, sleep sacks, and even a portable crib. These events are made possible by connecting partners together and the work of our Healthy Babies Impact Team. A special thanks to the Shawnee County Health Department for their involvement and for making this event a success!
