Shawnee County Suicide Prevention Coalition Hosts 14th Annual 5K for Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
Rain did not stop the community from coming together for Suicide Prevention Awareness Month at the fourteenth annual Shawnee County Suicide Prevention Coalition 5K event! More than 100 people participated and enjoyed a morning of education, activity, connection, and resources all centered around mental health promotion and suicide prevention.
Mental health issues ranked as the top concern in our most recent Community Health Needs Assessment and organizations like Shawnee County Suicide Prevention Coalition amongst many others work tirelessly to ensure everyone is aware of the resources in our community and how to access them.
